SUNSEEDMAN ( updated by 04 Feb 2019 ) * During 2018 calendar year, for local consumption and re-exports ( foremost Iraq and Syria ), Turkey imported 498.5 kmt of Sunoil, mainly from Russia and partly from Ukraine and Bosnia ( for domestic consumption only with no import-duty as per bilateral agreements ). * During 2018 calendar year, to compensate the gap in local crushings, Turkey imported 631.5 kmt of oil-bearing Sunflower, mainly from Moldova and Romania and partly from Bulgaria. * With rapid Brazilian Soy harvestings, Jan19 exports were as higher as 2.154 kmt vs 1.564 kmt of Jan18. The destination was mainly China. * With already 16.9% of Brazilian Soy harvesting pace by 1 Feb 2019, I understand that the harvested new-crop size so far may be around 20 Mln T roughly by promoting more Brazilian Soy exports and crushings in Feb19 and coming months. * As per Safras & Mercados, by 01 Feb 2019, Brazilian Soybean harvesting pace is 16.9% vs 10.8% of last week, 5.9% of last year and 6.1% of 5-year avr. The harvestings are mainly activated in Mato Grosso ( 39% ), Parana ( 23% ) and Mato Grosso do Sul ( 21% ) States. * As per Bolsa De Cereales, by 31 January 2019, Argentinian Sunflower harvesting and Soybean planting paces were 32.2% & 100% respectively. General outlook is mostly favorable for both Sunflower and Soybean. Therefore, 3.9 and 53 Mln T of new-crop sizes are forecasted respectively. * Turkish Grain Board/TMO bought ( reportedly also officially confirmed ) 292.5 kmt of Red Milling Wheat ( 13.5 P ) with the range of 261.90 - 271.50 $/mt C&F range.
